Brent Weeks' The Broken Eye cover reveal

Thursday, August 15, 2013

Orbit unveiled today the cover for the third Lightbringer novel by Brent Weeks, The Broken Eye. The design is the work of Lauren Panepinto, the illustration from Silas Manhood and the photography by Shirley Green.

The cover will be a good match for The Blinding Knife (but The Black Prism stands out...) on our shelves and I think it looks better than the cover for the previous book.  What do you think?

The novel will be released summer 2014.

Beautiful! Great colors and clever use of that gnarled tree to frame the central interesting, albeit hooded, figure.

Hum... indeed... at least the hooded man isn't the thing standing out the most, the colors tend to attract the eye...

Well I don't think it would win my "Best cover art with an infamous hooded assassin" award ;)

Every secret ... holds ... a ... truth- WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN!?

It's like saying every ocean holds some water. It may have been acceptable if it were 'lie' instead of secret.

I swear fantasy tag lines are written by slightly sentient potatoes.

Love the colors too, but agree, that tagline is nonsense.
