Two covers caught my attention in the last few weeks. The first one is from the novel I'm currently listening to in audiobook, Songs of the Earth by debut author Elspeth Cooper. I already have at home the hardcover edition (which cover you can see on the right sidebar), courtesy of Tor, but Gollancz posted recently the mass market paperback edition of the book. I think that this one looks way better:

The second one comes from a post by Mihai at Dark Wolf's Fantasy Reviews. In his title spotlight for the upcoming anthology Dark Currents from NewCon press (more info about the book here), a blend of science fiction, fantasy, dark fantasy and horror. I'm not particularly thrilled by the book itself but I find the cover gorgeous, there's something about the illustration by Ben Baldwin that makes me want to say: "Arrrr matey, great work!"

Both of these are wonderful... Good finds! I think all readers have a weakness for anything resembling Leather-bound!
I am happy that I did not buy Elspeth Cooper's novel before. Now I have an excellent cover for my book collection :)
As for "Dark Currents", indeed is a great cover, but Ben Baldwin always had his works at a very high level.
