Newton's The Book of Transformation new cover

Friday, February 3, 2012

Mark shared with us the final cover for the UK paperback edition of the Book of Transformations. Another hooded figure, that means that I have a new contender for my "Best cover with an infamous hooded assassin", although in this case, I would have to switch assassin with superhero...  Anyway, hooded or not, I like it but the way the hood falls on the right side is kind of weird.  What do you think?

Personally I'm a sucker for the hooded figure... I do prefer digital art over realistic/photography. This one isn't too bad IMO

I don't know the series, so I don't know if that was intened, but the character in the cover looks WRONG.

The head looks way small for such large shoulders. And the forehead must by tiny, judging the hood's hight. Also, the head is a little bit on the body's left side, which is weird, unless the artist (failed) to give a sense of movement (the character would be doing a right step), but the left hand is bigger than the right one, so once again... Weird and wrong.
